Kaarina and Wayne were kind enough to invite me to watch the Raptors game last night against the Hornets. Kaarina was not able to make it so I went with Wayne. I should mention that they have season tickets. I should also mention that they have amazing seats. We sat in the 10th row closest to the floor, in the corner above the locker room entrance. I had never experienced a sporting event so close to the action, except for my softball team ofcourse.
Our team gave me and Wayne little to cheer about until the 4th quarter when Mo Pete lit it up. However it was evident by the slew of profanities around us and to a lesser degree out of mine and Wayne’s mouths that Mike James is not appreciated. He was absolutely horrible.
Surprisingly however, Hoffa didn’t stink it up. I was worried during pre-game when he missed a total of 3 dunks. During practice! I also saw the lead singer of Pilate. I still don’t remember his name after Jennie told me, but he was seated two rows directly in front of me. That proved to my second celebrity encounter. My first - getting a baseball signed by Robbie Alomar at National Sport with Ray and Tim. Who would have thought he was such a jerk (He spit in an umpire’s face a few years later)?
